A lip flip is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a small amount of TOX into the upper lip muscle known as the orbicularis oris. This treatment causes the muscle to relax, which results in a subtle lifting of the upper lip and a more pronounced vermillion border (the line between the lip and skin).

The effect is similar to that of a lip lift surgery, but without the need for incisions or anesthesia. The procedure can be completed in just a few minutes, and the results typically last for 3-4 months.

The lip flip is often used as a complementary treatment to lip filler injections, as it can help to enhance the appearance of the lips and create a more defined cupid's bow. However, it can also be done on its own for those who want a slight improvement in the shape and fullness of their lips without the use of fillers.

Dysport is a local muscle relaxant (or neuromuscular blocking agent) adapted from the botulinum neuromodulator type-A and is used in aesthetic indications.

Xeomin® is made through a unique precision manufacturing process called XTRACT Technology™, that uses two filtration steps to isolate the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the complexing/unnecessary proteins that don’t play an active role in treatment. Xeomin® is a double filtered neurotoxin.

It generally takes 7 to 14 days to take full effect. It’s best to avoid alcohol starting at least 1 week before the procedure. You should also stop taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications 2 weeks before treatment to help prevent bruising.

Most neuromodulators are delivered by our Naked Needle process. Patients report substantially less pain than a standard needle.

Avoid rubbing the injection site for 24 hours so you don’t spread the TOX to another area.

Did not work

I did the lip flip on February 20, 2023, and it has been since March 7, 2023. Nothing has happened or changed.

They let me wait a long time to start the process, which takes less than 5 minutes.

I'm super excited to see the results!!

This was my first visit at NakedMD and everyone was so pleasant and nice. The office was very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Booking - booking online was very easy and I was able to get a next day appointment

Parking - very easy, a lot available

Timing - They were right on time with my appointment.

Price - I love their price transparency, all pricing for fillers were all online and very reasonable.

Appointment - Katelyn was great, friendly and gave great recommendations.
She numbed me and then Lucy gave me the lip flip and half syringe of filler.
Lucy made me feel very comfortable and I could really tell she took her time to perfect my lips!

Wanted to update my review. Elle reached out to me and she was amazing. She did see what I was talking about and offered a solution to see if that would help. I went in and got to see Nick again and he to was amazing as always. I did the lip flip and so far so good it's only been a few days but I have high hopes and I don't feel so self conscious when I'm talking anymore. Both Elle and Nick have checked in to see how everything going. They definitely turned my not so great experience into a better one. Thank you both again.

10/10 love this place

I came here to get a lip flip about 3 weeks ago and I am in love ! 2 weeks prior I received a full syringe of filler at the Newport Beach location but I was going to be in the area of chino hills so I decided to stop by. I believe my injector was Lena (forgive me if I spelled that wrong). She was absolutely amazing! I asked for her opinion on my lips and she said a lip flip would give me the look I was trying to achieve. She gave her honest opinion instead of just trying to sell more product. It makes a huge difference when the injectors are honest and actually care about the patient. When I had left every person at the front desk was so friendly as well as the business manager . The chino hills location does has a bigger lobby which makes it more cozy compared to the Newport Beach location. 10/10 love this place not to mention prices are beyond affordable. If you aren't choosing Naked med spa then what are you doing ???
